Chaîne des Rôtisseurs — Calgary Bailliage

Membership Guidelines

Membership Guidelines

Nomination

New members must be nominated by an existing member in good standing, with a letter submitted to the Bailli Regional for council consideration. Maximum enrollment may restrict acceptance of new members.

Dress Code

Members and guests are expected to maintain formal evening attire. Gentlemen members will wear a dinner jacket (tuxedo) throughout the evening, unless the invitation advises differently.

Dinner Conduct

  • No speeches during dinner
  • Members should remain seated throughout service
  • Food is to be eaten when served — to respect the chef's work
  • The organization does not make food substitutions for allergies or dietary preferences — members may inquire about ingredients but should pass on that particular course if concerned

Reservations

Reservations are accepted in the order payment is received. Members with outstanding dues cannot reserve spots. New members cannot invite guests during their first year following initiation.

Guest Protocol

When space is limited, guests are accommodated in this order: members from other bailliages, out-of-town family, house guests, prospective members, and other guests.

The Accolade

The Accolade given after the dinner is not a critique, but rather an acknowledgement to the establishment.
