International Bylaws
The International Bylaws of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs govern this international organization dedicated to promoting culinary arts and gastronomy, founded in August 1950 and filed with Paris authorities.
Objectives
The organization aims to promote gastronomy and the culture of the table in their broadest sense, emphasizing culinary development, particularly grilling and spit-cooking techniques. Members pledge to honor cuisine and maintain fraternity and respect toward fellow members.
Governance
- Board of Directors: 5–15 members elected by the General Assembly for approximately 3-year terms
- President (Grand Chancelier): Elected by General Assembly, must reside in France
- Treasurer (Grand Argentier): Designated from Board members
- Conseil Magistral: Directors plus up to 50 non-Director members
- General Assembly: All members; exclusive authority over financial approval, bylaw modifications, and auditor designation
National Chapters
The Chaîne operates through National Bailliages in various countries, each governed by a Bailli Délégué under Board authority. Members pay dues determined by their national chapter's bureau with Board approval.
